Corruption-accused former president Jacob Zuma’s suspension from the ANC, a party he has belonged to for 66 years, on Monday was the culmination of a cold war with his successor, President Cyril Ramaphosa, ever since Ramaphosa trounced Zuma’s preferred candidate to take over the party from him in 2017.
