Almost a week after gale-force winds led to the collapse of four transmission towers and plunged most of Nelson Mandela Bay into darkness, Electricity and Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa said more than R1 billion is needed over five years to stabilise the metro’s electricity issues.
