In November 2023, the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg ordered an overhaul of South Africa’s “discriminatory” laws on maternity and paternity leave and as the judgment heads to the Constitutional Court for confirmation this week, the Limpopo couple whose story inspired the landmark ruling are excited about the prospect of effecting change in the lives of parents and families across the country.
