Severe thunderstorms are expected in parts of the North West, the Free State and the Northern Cape which may lead to localised damage, the South African Weather Service has warned, while destructive coastal winds are expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas. Thunder and rain is expected in eight provinces, but the Western Cape will experience fine, hot to very hot conditions.
